PRESENTACIÓN
Claudio Mellacastel Claudio Mella Castel, a colorblind painter, born in 1971 in Santiago, Chile, begins painting at the age of 15 under the tutelage of his father, a recognized neo-impressionist artist. He studied Pedagogy and Bachelor of Fine Arts at Metropolitan University of Educational Sciences and complemented his post graduate training in interactive multimedia at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in Chile, Peru, Argentina, Spain and France. He has received important awards and recognitions and he has been selected in several national competitions. His work is in collections in South America, United States and Europe. Mellacastel in his artwork, based on an internal search, recodes the color, favoring composition as if it were a musical piece; harmonies of blues, a fugue of reds or a symphony in cold tones.
